The workshops aim to teach students how to manipulate shapes and create expressive, dynamic and detailed works that tell stories, are part of, or the beginning of a story. Modeling is probably the easiest, most tactile, and most immediate approach to sculpture. This practice is ideal for developing a sense of touch, ambidexterity and the ability to materialize imagination in an intuitive and thoughtful manner.

I develop and propose different types of workshops to vary approaches, to cater to different affinities, interests and learning styles so that everyone can find a good grip to start a project. Modeling small scale sculptures in polymer clay or more physical large-scale sculpting in clay, or to dive in the creation of more detailed medium-sized character sculptures in MonsterClay.

I propose the use of various modeling materials (and adapted tools) to give an overview of the possibilities of each, and for the pleasure of discovering the multiple nuances of this art.

As part of my preparation for the workshops, I design and sculpt references to illustrate them.

The practice of sculpture can be beneficial in many ways, to center oneself, develop dexterity, attention span, ability to project. It can nourishes imagination and trust in oneself to create.

Workshops are given in french, but can also be followed by English, Spanish and Portuguese speakers.

They are conceived to be accessible to all, and keep evolving with each encounter.

Workshops are to be a safe and empowering space for everybody, (I am responsible for that).
The only strict rules of the workshops concern the well-being, physical and moral integrity of the participants (and their work) and the attention paid by the group to its proper well being and functioning.

The aim of the workshops is to make the practice and learning of sculpture accessible to anyone curious about this form of artistic expression.

Example of sculpted references for the workshops, in this case, the theme was a demand from a student.
